MONOM — BERLIN

PROJECT

Presented at MONOM, Berlin, 'Paradox' is a collaborative effort between Ignez & Lamdini exploring the 'black hole information paradox'. This theory, proposed by Stephen Hawking, questions fundamental concepts about information permanence and black hole physics.

Combining scientific insights with elements of spiritual symbolism, 'Paradox' aims to provide a unique auditory and visual interpretation of these complex ideas. Using 4DSOUND technology, the installation creates an environment where attendees can engage with the concepts in a direct and experiential way, offering a fresh perspective on the merging of science and art.

R&D

At MONOM Berlin—a venue renowned for its immersive sound experiences—our challenge was to integrate visual elements without overshadowing the acclaimed 4DSOUND system. To achieve this, we crafted 16 hand-made translucent screens, designed to enhance rather than dominate the space.

This setup allowed visuals to circulate fluidly, ensuring that the audience’s experience was dynamic and engaging, rather than static. Our goal was to create a symbiotic environment where sound and visuals are equally immersive, offering a truly unique sensory experience that complements the complex themes explored in the show.
